How it's different
Others — page change detection
DropScout — stock availability
Reads stock signals, not just changes

We know the difference between "Add to Cart" and "Notify When Available," between actual inventory and placeholder text. A page change could be anything. A stock signal is specific.

Others — general scrapers
DropScout — e-commerce native
Built for how stores actually work

We understand Shopify APIs, cart systems, and inventory signals at a code level — not just what the page looks like. That's why accuracy holds up where basic scrapers break.

Others — curated product lists
DropScout — track anything
No approval, no waiting

Find a limited release on an indie store? Add it instantly. No waiting for it to appear in someone's database. If you can find the product page, DropScout can track it.

Others — chase big retailers
DropScout — boutique-first
Optimized for indie stores

Mass market services target big retailers with heavy anti-bot protection. DropScout is built for the indie stores, artist shops, and boutique retailers where the real drops happen.

How it works
01
Visit the product page

DropScout visits each product page on a regular schedule — the same way you would, just automatically. No special store integration required.

02
Read the signals

We check for active "Add to Cart" buttons, inventory counts, sold-out messages, and availability indicators — using multiple detection methods including the page's underlying code.

03
Alert only when confident

If there's any doubt about availability, we mark it out of stock and stay quiet. This conservative approach means when we do alert you, it's worth acting on.

Honest limitations
Where it works best
DropScout performs best on independent stores and boutique retailers — exactly the places where you'll find the most unique drops. Large retailers with heavy anti-bot protection (Target, Best Buy, Funko) may have lower accuracy, but those stores usually have their own restock notification systems anyway. If you're tracking a limited release on a small creator shop or indie store, you're in the right place.
